About Sculpture & Spatial Practice

Sculpture & Spatial Practice is a discipline stream of the School of Art, Faculty of the VCA and Music, University of Melbourne. Sculpture & Spatial Practice provides education for a range of artistic practices. These span from the more traditional fields of sculpture and three dimensional practice, to installation, temporal works, time based works, video and public art. A generous workshop and flexible installation facilities are matched with a range of expert staff who are experienced in several mediums and forms of artistic practice. Sculpture & Spatial Practice aims to produce graduates who are capable of professional participation in a broad range of contemporary art practices and related activities. A curriculum format of studio, workshop, and tutorials/critiques develops each student's practical and conceptual abilities, fostering a strong base from which to enter professional practice and/or further study.
